On August 7, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced the affirmative preliminary determination in the countervailing duty (CVD) investigation of aluminum foil from the China , preliminary finding that Chinese exporters of aluminum foil received countervailing subsidies 16.56 to 80.97 percent.
In response to the result, the China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA) said it will support Chinese aluminum foil exporters in filing complaints about anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations by the US. CNIA will also take the necessary measures to safeguard industry interests.
