3xxx aluminum alloy is also known as aluminum-manganese alloy, the manganese content is 1-1.5%.It is a kind of rust-proof aluminum alloy. 3xxx aluminum alloy’s strength is better than pure aluminum alloy, but 3xxx aluminum alloy is not suitable for heat treatment to strengthen the performance. But when it is treated with  the cold processing (cold rolling mill rolling) and annealing process   a good plasticity is available.

3xxx aluminum alloy has good corrosion resistance and welding performance, it can be used in many industries, such as building decoration industry, electronics manufacturing, automobile manufacturing and so on.

Main grades of 3xxx aluminum alloy are 3003 aluminum, 3004 aluminum, 3104 aluminum, 3005 aluminum, 3105 aluminum. 

3003 grade aluminum alloy is the most used alloy among 3xxx aluminum alloys. It is easy to   process. It can be painted on the surface of the original aluminum color paint to make decorative curtain wall panels, and indoor ceiling with aluminum ceilings. Bent by the pressure machine,3003 aluminum can become  aluminum tiles, which is light and durable. Compared to 5052 aluminum alloy, 3003 aluminum alloy’s price is cheaper, and its welding performance is also very good. Some truck fuel tank manufacturers also use 3003H24 aluminum plate to replace the 5052 production tank.  

3004 aluminum alloy’s strength higher than that of  3003 aluminum alloy , and with a better performance, 3004 aluminum alloy  can be used as tank/body of aluminum cans, containers for chemical and liquid products.

3104 alloy and 3004 alloy composition is very similar.It is of high strength and easy to process. The TV manufacturing industry often use 3104-O aluminum plate  to make back panel of LCD , stamping convex package, add electronic components. This can not only reduce the total weight of finished products, but also to ensure a good heat dissipation.

3005 aluminum alloy is mainly used for  high-end color coated aluminum coil,  building materials, roof partition, air conditioners, refrigerators etc. 

3105 alloy can be used  for the production of can/bottle caps, cover lids other stamping parts.
